The Future of Software Development

There seems to be a big push from both government agencies and regulation stuff might be coming to kind of move away from languages like C++ that have safety and security. So far, most of the software world is not regulated. If I want to write an instant messaging application, for example, for a phone, I can just do that. No government certified agency will ever look over that or audit that. But that might change now because of these things.
