Lesbian Bars in the US

I think people have just kind of consolidated the word gay to mean every kind of like gender nonconforming sexuality. Just because a place puts a rainbow flag outside of its door does not mean it's LGBT supportive. Not supportive individuals running gay bars or gay friendly establishments is as old as these establishments themselves. And I think what you are seeing is maybe a movement back to those places as we again find ourselves under attack and again find ourselves needing community.
