The Importance of Technical Leadership
At my last company we made technical lead a rotating assignment and it would rotate Anytime from six months to 18 months Approximately usually didn't last longer than that. This had a couple of effects the first effect was that it was very clear that you were not doing people management. If someone was amazing at tech lead and they did it for 18 months It's conceivable that they could just be like promoted out of it. That feels kind of like saying this job. It is so unimportant that it doesn't matter who does it and then like what's the point of it?
