Marianne Tournette had very powerful friends and family in the other European monarchies. She was accused of having multiple affairs, which amounted to a form of treason. But we don't really think about her as a victim of sexual libel. Is that because maybe that would undermine a sort of heroic reformation, Henry VIII or what?
