Our God Is a Consuming Fire

The book of Hebrews speaks often about God's judgment. He wants them to know that your God is a consuming fire for the Jewish mind who was thinking to go back to the old covenant of Judaism. When an animal was put on the altar as a sacrifice and was consumed, it was bad news but good news at the same time. The consuming of the animal was the opportunity to experience the grace, mercy, forgiveness of God.
