I've seen this over and over, how some one might agonize over a crush on some one who makes no sense to be tied to. I had a close friend in college who told me that he didn't think his parents had ever truly been in love, but that was ok. Maybe love settling in gently is better than hot love that flames out. And maybe certain kinds of people are better equipped for one type or the other. Jane austen captures us two. My point here is that most people are round and not flat.
