When I researched my first book, Losing the Nobel Prize, it almost never happened that someone won the Nobel Prize but hadn't been elected to say the National Academy of Sciences. So there is obviously some correlation. We have standards here when we go up for promotions every three years to get a $50 raise every month or whatever we get. That's what's attractive about it.
