How to Determine a Planet's Daylength

Every planet, including stars, emits radiation the vacuum of space based on its temperature and size. The wave length of that radiation is determined by temperature. Once we get our eyes on to a given exta planet, we can determine its diameter and average temperature simply from the infered spectrum of that heat radiation. We can determine its day length just by watching how those omissions and those of reflected sunlight vary.
