The Soul of Avu-Haten

In his debate with Avu-haten, Razi satirically compares the sudden unwise motion of soul towards matter to a sudden unwanted eruption of flatulence. This brings their discussion to an end as the audience breaks up in appalled recriminations against Razi for this scandalous remark. Now that the universe exists, our purpose is to work towards the liberation of soul from matter. Humans can do this by living a life which ignores bodily pleasures and ultimately by achieving an afterlife of bliss when the soul will finally be free from the body.
