The idea that somehow in certain areas of behavioral science or psychology, replication is not important was a really bad move to make by some people. I think that mostly, largely in a generational way, as a lot of things change about attitudes and so on. The younger generation is more committed to openness, replication, and maybe less committed to telling a great story with your experiments. That still captivates people if there's a good story more so than if there's not.
