The Conservative Perspective on the Problem of Big Government
The state will always try to collect in a grandeis into itself power, prestige, expertise, basically to fill the social space. A report from the New York Times about the communist regime of the People's Republic of China tells us that under the current leadership of the Communist Party, national tragedies have to be without names. The bigger the tragedy, the more likely that there is no reporting whatsoever. There is no national mourning.
