Stephen Pinker's New Book on Rationality
Timothy Stanley: I've been picking through Stephen Pinker's new book on rationality. It really cuts into some of these kind of questions that we've just been talking about in terms of what we see as being intelligence and sort of the value of, of science. He says he sees a lot of semiotic squares out in the world that have nothing to do with social science whatsoever. The idea is to be able to stay in that ambiguity to understand and look at these patterns and understand more nuances with them. A couple of great authors who have contributed massively to his course are Amy Herman and Richard Yankon.
