Bitcoin Mining: Is It Possible for a Nation State to Attack the Other Protocols?

The path here constantly puts more innovation around lower cost energy, so it chases that. And I think over time, just because of fear and greed in markets, is it penalizes? To be a Bitcoin miner, you'd have to be counter cyclical. It's especially interesting that even Ripple, after being targeted by the SEC and delisted from a bunch of exchanges, still seems to be hanging in there pretty well. The only networks that continue operating are those that can be run on Raspberry Pi's and people's homes.
