The Role of Litigation Finance Capital in the Marketplace
Litigation has become something that is extraordinarily expensive, very time consuming and disruptive for businesses. Some cases are going to divert it into arbitration, but others of them are not making it through the system because even large sophisticated parties simply don't have the financial wherewithal to deal with them. And so I think that this is significant because the presence of litigation finance capital, in fact, is breathing some life into a litigation system that otherwise is struggling to meet the needs of its users.
