The Cost of Living Crisis Is a Crisis of Inequality
The cost of living crisis is also more than that, not just for poverty. It's a crisis of inequality which you can see in the crisis most manifest way because profits are up. Big businesses are making extraordinary profits which they are distributing to the shareholders even as we speak. So what you get is a sharpening of income inequality which was already very high in this country. This country was already exceptional in Western Europe and elsewhere because of the policies of the last few years. The thing to note here is that it might be very bad in this country, now a country here. It may be very bad for other people here, but it's across the western world.
