The Two Modes of Thinking
Biological and physical thinking are two different ways of looking at technology. The biological approach focuses on the details, a kind of catalogue bugs in order to gain further understanding. When we build a technological system that mirrors the world in all its complexity, you have to be aware of all the details. You end up making something that's more biological in structure, and ends up being more amenable to this biological approach.
