Is There a Redistribution of Income?
In the last two or 300 years, future workers have always been wealthier than previous workers. A worker in 18 80 earnt far less than a worker in 19 30. And on the non financial measures, also did better, longer life span and lower maternal mortality. So there is an argument that actually, from a redistributive perspective, it makes sense to impose something of a burden on the future workers because they may well be more well off to begin with. That would save not just social justice, but also the planet from environmental disaster. What dyou dis ibed?
