The Politics of Same Sex Marriage Are Scrambled
Even when it looked like this bill was going to pass, we saw chuk schumer, majority leader of the senate, put out some pretty lukewarm language about it not being a top priority at the moment. And i think the reason why is because debating and passing this bill is going to eat up a lot of floor ime in the senate. That is floora time that will not be spent advancing parts of democrats agenda, including judicial confirmations.
