The Effects of a Heatwave Alert on the Economy

This is not an unusual year so far, especially this month has not been unusual by any stretch of the imagination. Delhi does cross into the 40s quite often. Today we've had a heatwave alert declared, which means it's going to be exceptionally hot. I think you can see the effects of that on the street. But then the question is how much should it change, visibly change the functioning of society in the economy?
