Do Fly Brains Have Reflexes?
We don't have that many circuits characterized in the fly. In fact, there's only one so far. It's the giant fibre that goes from the central brain to the thoracic ganglia. So it's not a reflex. This is consistent with the idea of an internal state,. But it doesn't prove that the internal state is the same across species. Ber as i said before, that the fly brain is organized differently from a mammal brain. And it looks like something called the mushroom body might be the analogue of the hypothalmus.
