The Evolution of Yiddish as a Language
In the late 19th century, Jews were reinventing themselves as a nation with a land. There was a big war about what the official language of the new state of Israel is going to be. A lot of secular Jews are learning Yiddish and reconnecting this films being made in Yiddish. It's almost like a revival of things that are not standardized Queen's English.
