It remains very difficult to see how people will be removed if there are no safe third countries to remove them too. I think the other big practical challenge is then what happens if in some ways there's a bit of a gamble inherent in the measure, which is that the government is hoping that it will be such an effective deterrent. The number of people who've been crossing the channel on small boats is so significant in the tens of thousands.
