The Media's Problem With Crime
Do our media also have a problem that they don't often acknowledge? The strong public opinions about crime are shaped by what people see and hear in the media. For instance, earlier this month, News Hub at 6 screened this. Auckland cameraman Tim Raythell has been covering overnight breaking news for 17 years. He says he's never seen crime as bad as it is now. It looks like things can be ramping up again.
