The Audience Isn't Smart Enough to Understand the Complex Models
An awful lot of the flaws of our current public debate and political systems are often laid at the feet of politicians or various intellectuals but you could say they really should be laid at the hands of the audience who can't make subtle distinctions. In some sense we will have a better world when we have better audiences that are appreciate the pitches being made to them it's another way in which you kind of don't want to tell the truth when your audience tell the truth either.
