Introduction
The EPA reports that carbon dioxide CO2 comprises 80% of US greenhouse gas emissions. In the United States, CO2 emissions actually peaked in 2005 and have been declining since. The story gets more interesting when we look at the five largest CO2 emitting countries. China's emissions continue to grow, but at a much slower pace than India's.
