There's a great blog by Chris Husbands from 2013 ish. It's called Great Teachers or Great Teaching. Why MacKenzie got it wrong. And he's referring to a paper by MacKenzie and Company, which is the sort of body that wrote a report. They said that this is the quality of an education system cannot exceed the quality of its teachers. So well, we're checking out if you're interested in professional development. But I think you're probably going to want to go back and read the initial report before you read Chris's blog.
