Samantha: Hormonal contraception completely changes who you are as a person so much so that you'll choose the wrong mate if you're on hormonal contraception long enough. She says women have been putting up with the side effects of hormonal contraceptives some of which are quite serious medically and it's not love if you can't say no it's just being a robot. Samantha: I was a very big fan of a tree grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith but one of the most profoundly impactful books growing up for me was East of Eden by John Seimbeck.
