Is It Now Possible to Bring Extinct Animals Back Through Gen Editing Techniques?

Swapnill says it is now possible to bring extinct animals back through gean editing techniques. However, could there be a case wherein an animal that might be brought back from extinction might do more harm to the earth than good? If yes, was it worth it to have wiped out those animals in the past, by humans from our planet in the first place? Swapnill: Over all, if you look at the entire plant, the trend is downwards. So if this trend continues, we may even have a population crash in the next hundred years. But i don't it doesn't look like our population will be our end. Hopefully there's no end. hopefully we go on
