There was no indoor plumbing during this time period. She does not have a bathroom where she would normally be taking a bath. Bathing did not happen indoors with indoor plumbing. A more more probably, people did their bathing outside in public, at a public pool. It is not immodest for them to be naked at that pool, or tha they are clothed while they're bathing. If you've lived or travelled to another country, you might have seen something like this.
