The chips act is the biggest move in semiconductor policy since the 1980s that we've seen from the US government. It allocates $39 billion to subsidizing the manufacture of chips in the U.S., mostly focused on leading edge chips, but with some funds for lagging edge. And then second to votes on $12 billion to R&D efforts in chips. So there will certainly be an impact on the amount of chip making in the US. But right now the US produces 10 or 15% of chips.
