She's on the Money is a weekly, offbeat look at Australian business. This week we'll be talking about how to identify scams and also what to do if you think that your data or identity has actually been stolen. In September 2022 Optus was the victim of a cyber attack that resulted in the disclosure of heats of customers personal information including mine. 11% of Australians have experienced one or more types of personal fraud in 2020 to 2021 not across the board just in the one year. The government nominated the ACCC's scam watch as the first point of contact for information about what customers can actually do to protect their information online.
