Is Social Robotics a Cure for Loneliness?

Technology can help alleviate our loneliness, for sure. But what does this mean for society? If we choose to hang out with our alexa rather than alexis, when we're not going to invest in our human the dangers we won't invesst in our human relationships moreover. The danger is that we'll get very used to having relationships with essentially servants who do what we want and laugh at our jokes. So whilst i do see it as a cure for loneliness at an individual level, i do worry about the ramifications for society should we wish to mgrat our friendships to or social robots and virtual assistance.
