I think the examples you've just highlighted there are perfect for sort of showing how, I mean, I don't want to say we learn the wrong lessons, but we learn very short term lessons. It's like the law, we're always haunted by the last immediate experience that we've had. And we're not actually taking a suitably longer term perspective on what's going on. The Iraq war is taking this whole, you know, liberal interventionism to absurd degree, if I can put it that way.
