Climate Catastrophe

Scotland has just become the first nation in the world to publish an indicative, nationally defined contribution showing how we will meet the objectives of the paris agreement. We are expected to cut emissions by three quarters by 20 30 and to be net ziro by 20 forty five. Scotland is a country that has produced, still produces, oil and gas, so that transition is one of the most difficult for us. But this is something thatis, it's an obligation for countries everywhere. The alternative to hi is climate catastrophe. And you're not leaving to future generations at a planet that is habitable. That is just, in my view, unthinkable.
