The financialized boom, the illusory boom that went from like the mid 80s until 2008. And they had to dismantle it. And how did they dismantle it? Well they dismantled the new lab which is mostly students partially by giving a bunch of them jobs in the academy. You can't bring down the system but you can critique it. Maybe the kids that you teach their critique to will one day undo it.
