Why Is My Blood Red?

People say that the reason your blood is red is because it has iron in it and iron makes it give it that red color, but you say that's not true. Blood is red because of hemoglobin, so the substance in the stuff that carries the oxygen around the body. If you look up at the sky, the sky's blue, but there's no blue pigment in the sky. There's nothing up there that is blue. It's literally the way the light is interacting with the molecules there.
