In your book, mathematicians don't come up with proofs. It comes intuition and rigor comes later. Mathematicians are very proud of being able to have absolute proof in a way that scientists cannot. In math, theorems that were proven thousands of years ago are still true. You all want something. But we don't do a great job in our textbooks or lecturing at conveying that.
