The Antidote to Boredom Is Attention

Bortman: The antidote to boredom is not entertainment. It's attention. But at the same time, going back to the Seema Bay anecdote, some places, some contexts, some circumstances are not worth attending to. Some of the things that are most worth our attention, it takes some work and some effort and might strike us initially as boring. Sometimes that's an accurate reflection of what we're focusing on. And sometimes it's a call to sort of attend more deeply.
