Pansychism is one of those theories that perhaps just doesn't merge well with western culture, and we find it tough to except. I mean, in a pragmatic sense, you can really em you can pretty much ignore it. You can even argue, even on an ethical basis, that it's a lot easier to just assume that animals and plants really have no consciousness at all.
