Political debates used to be a much more prominent feature of election campaigns, and more popular as well. Since then, though, the political debate has been in decline. Two thousand 19 election leaders debate with scott morrison and bill shortand piqued at 400 thousands viewers. That was an increase on the very first of two thousand and 16 election leader debates, which clocked a pitiful 54 thousand viewers. But just how far removed is the 100 thousand audience from what we used to see when political debates were ead?
