The Euro and the War in the Middle East
After Trump ripped up the nuclear deal, the Europeans actually came up with their own version of Swift. The Iranians were kicked out of Swift partially, like the Russians now. But you can also see it from the perspective of the euro being a success. It is the second biggest reserve currency. And it is the only one that is potentially something that can be used instead of the US dollar.
