Is Christine Lagarde Hitting Interest Rates?
The European Central Bank Christine Lagarde had been doing forward guidance saying at the next several meetings We will be hiking interest rates or something to that effect yesterday. She came out and said You could just see on the middle of the screen ray of the screen there We expect to raise interest rates further So instead of saying we will and have it sort of be a pretty definite thing They're saying expect which is you know kind of implies a subjunctive case a would as if there is a chance that that they won't.
