Why Should We Listen to David Brooks?

The only reason to listen to David Brooks is some sort of empty commitment to ideological diversity. The number of quote unquote reasonable conservatives in this country is roughly seven and they all have fucking columns at newspapers. That's not the New York Times opinion page challenging its readers preconceptions. It's giving their readers a completely false impression of what conservatism is.
