What Is Science Going to Save Us From?
I think we have a lot to worry about in the next decades. We've got a growing population, more demanding of energy resources and climate change is very high on the agenda. But I also am concerned about the misuse of evermore powerful technology. New technologies empower individuals as more groups to an extent that they can create a massive catastrophe. One person plotting an engineer at VARIS that he wants to release is too many. So I'm very pessimistic about how we can cope with this.
