How Do You Make Yourself Available for the Vulnerable?

I have this strong feeling that i am supposed to make myself available for the vulnerable, for the powerless and for the voiceless. This is on how do you do it? How do the work to do it? Huge bloody question. Sometimes i don't want me interfering in their lively as that majority of the time, right? That certainly is that wotheres.
