The Beauty of Phenomenology
You can appreciate any world, but you don't absolutize or believe any particular worldview. The challenge for academics or intellectuals is that they've assumed or often have assumed some kind of materialist paradigm or worldview. Every religious experience for them is at the end of the day essentially an hallucination or a subjective illusion. That's clearly a failure to bracket, to put one's assumptions aside.
