The Eucharist Provides an Opportunity to Offer Sacrifice
Aquinas would say he uses sacrifice in a couple different senses. The definition I gave is really from the proper act of the virtue of religion which is external. There are other types of offerings like obligations, for example, but again, those are external offers. What you're talking about mostly is the internal acts of the virtueof religion. But there's a broader analogical sense in which we say sacrifice of interior acts as well.
