The Bible Made Impossible

The Bible is difficult to understand and I think that's intentional because being a person of faith is not about being right it's about being part of a community. If the Bible was a blueprint there would be no need for a conversation between the architect God and us much less with one another if it were a blueprint. We're part of this dynamic ongoing centuries old conversation with God and with one another precisely because the Bible is hard to understand. It has every possible contradiction you could find in scripture and then some, but we should celebrate that instead of trying to explain everything away.
