Common RSP Mistakes to Avoid
Some of the common RSP mistakes are simple and easy to fix. Other ones are more complicated, such as giving money to a spouse who is not in an RSP. Don't assume you have to deduct it in the year, make the contribution. It could be worth waiting a year for higher tax savings. If you want to lend, if you want to give money to your spouse to contribute to their RSP, go ahead. Just recognize there may be a risk there.
