The Pros and Cons of AI Shows
The main concern is that the companies are going to use AI as a way to undermine our wages and working conditions. The AMPTP proposed that when these actors show up to set, they be paid a half days or one day's wages for being scanned into an AI. Now this is a recipe for eliminating an entire profession. I don't think it improves anything. It perhaps allows these companies to save a couple hundred bucks on a background actor. Like, and so can you blame SAG AFTRA for saying, go fuck yourself?
